Chess.
Thinking
one move ahead.
Chess from scratch for children and adults: how the pieces move, first combinations, checkmate and a fair game. Lessons with a coach, a course with Musya the cat and games with her friends — in your personal account.
What we will learn
Only the basics — like a chess club, but at home and at your own pace. The programme fits the age: from the first pawn moves to a confident game.
Chess is part of the Board games subject, together with draughts and backgammon. Chess lessons with a coach are already running, and the course and games work in the account. Enrolment for draughts and backgammon is open.
Chess as a game
Short lessons, mini-games and stars. The pieces are characters, the board is a fairy-tale field.
- Pieces and moves
How every piece moves — through “collect the stars” and “capture the pawns” mini-games.
- The first game
We set up the pieces and play to checkmate — with Hedgehog and Musya’s other friends.
- Check and checkmate
Telling check from checkmate and giving the first mate with a queen and a rook.
- Focus and patience
Fifteen minutes of thinking over a move is already a small victory.
The child knows every move, plays a game to the end and gives a simple checkmate.
Tactics and a fair game
From rules to techniques: fork, pin, double attack — and how not to blunder pieces.
- Tactics
Fork, pin, skewer, back-rank mate.
- Opening
How to start a game: the centre, developing pieces, castling.
- Endgame
Mate with a rook and a queen, the passed pawn, the king at the end of the game.
- Game review
We look at our own games with the coach and find where a stronger move was possible.
A confident game, tactics puzzles and the first ranks of the course.
Chess for yourself
For those who have long wanted to learn — or to play with a child as an equal.
- Rules without hurry
Every move, castling, en passant and pawn promotion.
- How to think at the board
What to check before a move so as not to give away a piece.
- Playing with a child
How to make the game fun for both and not lose on purpose too obviously.
- Online games
Games with school students, a rating and the weekly adult league.
A calm, confident game and common ground with your child at the board.
A lesson with a coach.
A course with Musya.
Games every day.
Live lessons — in a group or one-to-one. Between them — a 40-lesson course with Musya, puzzles and games in the personal account.
Puzzle of the day: find the best move in a couple of minutes.
The coach shows a technique on their board — the student sees every move.
A puzzle for the whole group: everyone looks for the move, the coach sees the answers.
We play in pairs or against a bot and review where the best move was.
A report after every lesson
What was covered, how your child worked, the homework and the tutor’s advice. Short by email, more detail in Telegram, in full with progress in your account and the Axioma app.

Your teacher
Meet our team. Each profile covers education, experience and specialisms. We match the teacher to the student’s goals.
One price
for every age.
The price depends on lesson length and format. Draughts and backgammon cost the same, and age does not change the price.
Prices cover individual lessons of the selected length, before any additional discounts. Dollars and euros are an approximate conversion; payment is in roubles. Small groups and full calculation
Do you need to know how to play?
No. We teach from the very beginning: how the pieces move, how to give checkmate, how not to blunder. Suitable for children from five and for adults.
What is in the personal account?
A 40-lesson course with Musya the cat, eight bots of different strength, puzzles, online games with school students, a rating, tournaments and ranks with certificates.
How much will it cost?
A 60-minute one-to-one lesson costs 2,500 ₽, 90 minutes 3,200 ₽ and 45 minutes 2,000 ₽. A 4-lesson pass is 9,600 ₽ and an 8-lesson bundle 18,400 ₽. In a small group it is 1,600 ₽ per student for 60 minutes. The course, puzzles and games in the personal account are open to every student of the school.
Is this a professional chess school?
We start with the basics, like a good chess club, and the ranks in the course are our own, for kids. If a student wants to play tournaments and earn a category, coach Sabrina Ergeshova (2nd junior category, chess arbiter) will prepare them for their first competitions.
